In Futurama, they have killer Santa. In the real world, we get robot reindeer. They’re the latest creation from Boston Dynamics, where engineers make robots that look like a mix between the Predator and those terror dogs from Ghostbusters.
The company’s video holiday greeting, posted to YouTube, features faceless four-legged robots, fancied-up as reindeer and trotting across a grassy plain—with Santa in tow, of course. And like so many robots, they’re an incongruent mashup of terrifying and cute. Aww, look at those guys. Also, runnnnn!
