An animated video from the Ontario Science Centre explains how the Olympic flame came to be weatherproof, safe, and of course, photogenic. In recent years, the torch relay has made it to such exotic locations as the Great Barrier Reef and Mt. Everest, and its current incarnation traveled a circuitous 12,875-kilometer route before arriving in London.
